" いずみ– 「生きていれば、いつか命は尽きて、肉体は土に還り、
その上で草花を咲かせる。魂は想いと言う糧となり、人々の
心に生き続ける。世のあらゆる物は流れ、循環している。」"
"Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth"
Fullmetal Alchemist, Alphonse Elric
"We are told to remember the idea, not the man. Because a man can fail. He can be caught. He can be killed and forgotten. But four hundred years later an idea can still change the world. I've witnessed firsthand the power of ideas. I've seen people kill in the name of them; and die defending them. But you cannot touch an idea, cannot hold it or kiss it. An idea does not bleed, it cannot feel pain, and it does not love. "
V for Vendetta
"Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life...You give them a piece of you. They didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like 'maybe we should be just friends' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love.”
Neil Gaiman
"It is a fool's prerogative to utter truths that no one else will speak.”
Neil Gaiman
"Someday, your prince will come. Mine just took a wrong turn, got lost, and is too stubborn to ask for directions"

yes..the winter is here...it became surprisingly early this year though...round about mid MAY.
the sad thing is that my flat is on a save electricity scheme. So NO HEATERS. ^^
I can see my breath for a good 3 days in a row now, while I am indoors in my flat. Anyone in a cold country will tell you that there is a sign of FREEZING temperatures.
anyhow...I have watched Andrew Llyod Webber's Starlight Express (for free...muahahahaha)and I really love the music! The plot lost me a bit though. This was how close i was to the tracks:
yup I was sitting RIGHT IN FRONT of them! ^^ I went with my flatmate to see the charity preview of it. And to satisfy dear Amanda's craving to see photos, here is a LOUSY shot of me and her:
CRAP I LOOK UGLY!!!! Amanda...only for you am I putting this photo here!
And the nice flat photo taken when we are all in our usual state in the flat - our pjs! Well, this was taken coz one of my flatmates is an exchange student and she was leaving on this day itself in about 5 mins after this photo was snapped. I have AWESOME timing. ^^ Ok fine...it is because I can't be bothered to take any pics until necessary.
yes, my hair has not been combed and is sticking out. I just woke up! >.<
anyhow...I shall ambush my study group friends one day n snap a pic with them..soon...
oh yes, I have watched transformers 2. I WANT THE POSTER!!!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
that is about it...I prefer the 1st movie to the 2nd. ^^
that is all...i shall return to my warm nest of blankets for now.
if anything at all...I have learnt not to take anything at face level.
" 'glory' doesn't mean 'a nice knock-down argument" Through the Looking Glass, chp 6.
Alice and Humpty Dumpty were agreed that the word 'glory' did not mean 'a nice knock-down argument.' Anyone with a dictionary could see that. Humpty Dumpty's point was that 'a nice knock-down argument' was what he meant by using the word 'glory'. He very fairly acknowledged that Alice, as a reasonable young woman, could not have realised this until he told her, but once he had told her, or if, without being expressly told, she could have inferred it from the background, she would have had no diffuculty in understanding what he meant.
